Strawberry Cream is one of my favorite additions to the garden in the last two seasons! An early and prolific bloomer that has wonderful stems for cutting all season long. An early bloomer is great for areas with shorter growing seasons (like ours in Colorado) so they can get established early before our intense summer heat!
Daylight hours and temperatures affect this dahlia’s coloring in particular. It ranges from lighter white with pink to darker hot pink with white accents - check out the photos that help illustrate this range. I even had some that sport some pink flecks.
I adore the lime green open center - it's the juiciest trio of colors. Teeny and mesmerizing, it must taste as delicious as it looks because I found it really helpful to keep bud heads and blooms covered with organza bags to keep the insects from munching these perfect petals.
