Flip Flop was such a sleeper dahlia this year - I didn’t expect to be so smitten! I attribute part of this to two unexpected characteristics that I don’t see (or didn’t notice) in other Flip Flop photos online. First - the slightly wavy nature of the petals that break from the more rigid spikes of a typical semi-cactus. Second - the two tone petals with a mauvey-fuschia on the underside with a brighter coral on the face which delightfully highlight these twisty petals. Color wise, Flip Flop has very similar tones to American Dawn. Can’t wait to grow more of this dahlia.
